"La plupart des séries réalisées par Isabelle Legrand ne connaissent pas de fin annoncée, elles sont toujours en cours. Ce qui importe ici n'est pas tant la chose peinte, le produit fini, que le processus qui l'anime et qui lui donne vie. C'est sans doute ce qui explique aussi le goût de l'artiste pour les œuvres « aléatoires » dans leur forme.
Conçues pour fonctionner selon des jeux infinis de combinatoires, « ces œuvres stocks » constituées de multiples fragments, peuvent être laissées au choix de celui qui l'installe.
